Frozen Mice 5/6g [pack of 25 pieces]

Another rodent available in our frozen prey range – this time mice packed in sets of 25 pieces, each weighing approximately 5–6 grams. These are very young animals, deep-frozen, which allows the nutritional profile of the raw material to remain stable until feeding.

Why choose the 5/6g size?

The 5–6g size is often selected by animal keepers who need prey from the smallest weight category available, but who do not want to feed neonates. A small mouse of this type works well as a starting portion, transitional portion, or supplementary portion depending on the predator species.

Frozen prey in this weight range is a suitable food source for terrarium predators as well as other carnivores: snakes, lizards, predatory birds, and also ferrets, hedgehogs, or cats and dogs fed on a whole prey diet. A whole mouse provides the animal with everything it would obtain when consuming natural prey: proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals resulting from the biological structure of a real animal, not from a mix of ingredients.

How to prepare the prey before feeding?

We recommend defrosting the prey slowly, preferably in the fridge or by warming the mouse in warm water. Avoid high temperatures – do not use a microwave oven or conventional oven for defrosting. After full defrosting, the mouse can be fed whole or cut into smaller portions.
