Frozen food for fish / aquarium fish

In the Fish food category, we present a wide selection of food tailored to meet the diverse nutritional needs of aquarium fish. The food sold in the Raw PetFood store is of the highest quality, frozen products for the inhabitants of freshwater and marine aquariums.

In the store's offer, we present frozen fish food, including special mixes tailored to the specific requirements of different species of fish (Malawi, Discus, Tropical Mix, and Tropical Quartet). The products, in the form of deeply frozen, blister-packed cubes, provide convenience in storage and feeding. Frozen food can provide a varied, nutritious diet for fish, rich in proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals. High-quality frozen cubes help maintain aquarium cleanliness (they do not cloud the water) and proper parameters (which can be challenging, for example, with granules).

High-quality frozen fish food

The food available in this category includes products such as Frozen bloodworm larvae, which are loved by most freshwater fish, as well as Mysis and Artemia, which are important elements of the diet for many tropical fish species. We also encourage adding products like Pacific Krill and Antarctic Krill to the cart, which are excellent sources of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, positively influencing fish health and intensifying their natural coloration.

For aquarists looking for food that supports the growth and development of fish, ideal choices might be products like Tropical mix, Discus mix, and Malawi mix, which contain mixes of ingredients suited to the needs of specific fish species. In addition to the tropical fish mix, our clients can also find Tropical Quartet, which includes the same mix ingredients but this time packaged in separate cubes.

Frozen fish, squid, mussels, and clam meats are further options selected for the convenience of our clients. The cubes, containing 100% selected meat in minced form, ensure easy and hassle-free feeding. Frozen fish roe and krill in two types (Pacific and Antarctic) are particularly recommended during the fish breeding season.

The vast majority of fish food products in this category are currently available in 100g blisters. Each blister contains 24 mini cubes weighing approximately 4.1g. An exception is the blister with Invertebrate food, containing 32 mini cubes weighing around 3.1g.

Why did we choose frozen food for aquarium fish?

Frozen fish foods have many advantages over traditional granules or flakes, while also providing nearly all the benefits of live food without its drawbacks.

Naturalness and freshness of the food

Frozen food is close to what fish consume in their natural environment, and a properly prepared freezing process preserves all the nutritional value and natural taste of the food. This makes fish more willing to eat this type of food, without consuming preservatives and other artificial additives found in granules. Freezing is one of the most natural and safest ways to preserve food — it does not require contamination with additional ingredients and eliminates most parasites dangerous to fish.

Better digestion and absorption of fish food

Frozen food is well digested by fish, reducing the risk of stomach issues and improving nutrient absorption. This not only enhances fish health and activity but also increases the chances of breeding success and raising fry.

Good digestion and nutrient absorption also translate to savings for the aquarist. The foods offered in our store not only provide a favorable price when added to the cart but also the best guarantee of healthy, happy fish.

No contamination of aquarium water

Granulated fish food often leads to water contamination and difficulties in maintaining proper parameters. With frozen fish food, such issues do not occur. Frozen fish food does not break down as quickly in water, minimizing the risk of aquarium contamination, and the food added to your cart in our store has been cleaned before freezing to not only meet the fish’s nutritional needs but also help keep the water clean.
