More and more cats are struggling with food allergies, which is why we have created WHOLE PREY treats made from 100% mice – an ingredient that has so far been virtually absent from the pet food market. Our WHOLE PREY treats contain no additives, making them safe for animals allergic to common protein sources, as well as to colorants, preservatives, or technological additives. To celebrate World Allergy Day, they are also available at 20% off for the next week.

For the next week, the largest WHOLE PREY canned food pack (24 × 400 g) is available with a 10% discount.

By using whole day-old chicks, whole mice and whole rats, we have created a truly WHOLE PREY food – based on the entire prey, not selected parts. The 400 g cans contain a complete cat food with the consistency of a soft, moist pâté and are available in the following configurations: • 1 × 400 g • 6 × 400 g • 12 × 400 g • 24 × 400 g Additionally, until March 31, as part of our launch promotion, even a single can can be purchased at the reduced price of PLN 19.99 (regular price: PLN 24.99).

New, fully natural WHOLE PREY treats for cats, created in accordance with the whole prey diet philosophy, have joined our offer. The new products are available in two variants: WHOLE PREY: day-old chick treats (70 g) and WHOLE PREY: mouse treats (70 g).

Should the selection of whole prey components differ for a roughly 2 kg Singapura compared to a 10 kg Maine Coon? Although such extreme differences in body mass are not commonly observed among cats living in the wild, the analyses cited in the bibliography of this article may nevertheless bring us closer to answering the question posed in the title.

Cats have accompanied humans throughout every stage of exploration and colonization, often adapting to new environments so effectively that in many places they have become dominant predators. This widespread presence of cats across all continents has resulted in an extraordinarily broad and diverse range of feline prey. Equally varied are the sizes of meals cats consume - from insects weighing less than a gram to livestock weighing several hundred kilograms. With such diversity in the diet of this small predator, is it even possible to determine a standard meal size for a cat fed a whole prey diet? This is the question we aim to explore in the article below.

Researchers have undertaken a detailed analysis of a popular fish food – Cyclops – in comparison to brine shrimp. As it turns out, this small crustacean may be a valuable alternative to the popular Artemia.

Artemia is one of those components of fish diets worth exploring, especially due to its long history and enduring popularity in aquaristics. Although small in size, its impact on fish health and development can be disproportionately large. In this article, we examine what has made these unassuming organisms one of the most popular food choices in aquaristics and which aquarium fish species benefit from adding Artemia to their diet.

Authors publishing in the British Journal of Nutrition have provided us with extremely interesting facts and hypotheses regarding the optimal diet for man's best friend. In the article Dietary nutrient profiles of wild wolves: insights for optimal dog nutrition?, they questioned the classification of dogs as omnivorous animals, sparking a discussion about how this misconception affects the health and well-being of our pets fed with commercial dog foods.

In fulfilling our mission to support pet owners in providing the best possible nutrition for their pets, we couldn't ignore the research by Natalie Mariel Baudrexel Delboy, who examined how well feeder rats actually meet the nutritional needs of predatory animals.

By supplementing the Raw PetFood blog with discussions of research on pet nutrition, we cannot overlook the extensive analysis conducted in Australia in 2015. It provides valuable information on what products and in what quantities can be part of natural, wet cat food, whether it's barf or whole prey.
