Smallest of all available frozen mice on sale. They are commonly referred to as the newborns or neonates. They weigh from 1 to 2g, measure 1-3cm.

Frozen mice in this size are perfect as food for example:
- small and newly hatched snakes
- many species of varans, lizards (as a dietary variety, for example, for the bearded Agama)
- cats (whole prey)
- birds
- occasionally for some species of turtles, e.g. Chelonoidis carbonarius (Black Frogfish)
